We’re excited to introduce Local Review Leaders, a new monthly campaign celebrating the local businesses that are excelling in one of the most influential areas of modern reputation: Google Reviews.

 Standing out in business isn’t just about having a great product or service—it’s also about how customers feel, what they share, and how businesses respond. That’s where Google Reviews come in. These aren’t just star ratings. They are public endorsements, emotional feedback, and powerful trust signals that influence nearly every new customer decision.

The Local Review Leaders campaign highlights the businesses across towns & cities who are setting the standard for online reputation. Each month, we review public Google profile data to identify the best-performing businesses across several criteria: review volume, average rating and responsiveness. What we’re looking for is consistency, care, and real effort—qualities that show a business values feedback and uses it to strengthen relationships with its customers.

What makes this initiative different is that it doesn’t just look at who has the most reviews or the highest stars. It also recognises those who reply promptly and maintain a reliable, high-quality presence over time. Because in 2025, a great review is only half the story. How you respond matters just as much.

The aim of Local Review Leaders is to shine a spotlight on those doing it well, and to encourage others to raise their game too. Whether you're a local salon, café, fitness studio or professional service, your Google reviews are your digital storefront—and your responses are the handshake that follows.

This project is powered by NFC Reviews, a tool that helps businesses get more feedback with NFC-enabled review cards and generate authentic, personalised replies using Review Buddy, an AI response assistant. Together, these tools make it easier for time-stretched owners and teams to maintain a strong online presence without sacrificing sincerity or tone.
